How often do I have to give a speech? There is no schedule. Everyone goes at their own pace.

How soon do I have to give my first speech? Again, that is entirely up to you, but, of course, the sooner you get started the sooner you will see the benefits.

How much does it cost? For guests there is no charge, no matter how many meetings they attend. For members the fee is $39 for six months.

How will I know what to do to become a better speaker? Speakers who give prepared speeches receive feedback from other members of the club. This includes suggestions as to what might have made the speech even better. You will also find you learn a great deal from watching and listening to other members.

How does feedback work? Every speaker giving a prepared speech receives an formal evaluation from one of the members. In addition, all members are encouraged to write a short note to the speaker stating what they believe the strong points were and giving suggestions for possible improvements. All feedback is done in a positive manner.

What is the relationship between the Coral Gables Toastmasters and Toastmasters International? We are a member club of Toastmasters International. As such we follow the guidelines their guidlines and use the manual from Toastmasters International. We also participate in various speech contests that involve other clubs.
