Why Be A Toastmaster?

At Coral Gables Toastmasters we are committed to improving our speaking skills and to providing the friendly environment necessary to develop our individual styles. We welcome new members as a source of the vitality that keep our club strong. We invite you to join us for a fun experience and a journey to greater fulfillment.

The Toasters International manual says "The mission of a Toastmasters Club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth."

Many well known celebrities have "honed" their speaking skills at a Toastmasters club. Here are a few examples: Tim Allen, Actor, star of television series Home Improvement, Sam Nunn, U.S. Senator, Democrat from Georgia, Pat Roberts, U.S. Congressman, Republican from Kansas, Walter Schirra, Former U.S. astronaut, John V. Tunney, Former U.S. Senator and television commentator.
